Hello,

Please note that this comment was generated automatically. If you feel that this output has mistakes, please contact me via email (mhroncok).

Your package (evolution-mapi) Fails To Install in Fedora 38:

can't install evolution-mapi:
  - nothing provides libndr.so.2()(64bit) needed by evolution-mapi-3.45.1-2.fc37.x86_64
  - nothing provides libndr.so.2(NDR_0.0.1)(64bit) needed by evolution-mapi-3.45.1-2.fc37.x86_64

If you know about this problem and are planning on fixing it, please acknowledge so by setting the bug status to ASSIGNED. If you don't have time to maintain this package, consider orphaning it, so maintainers of dependent packages realize the problem.

If you don't react accordingly to the policy for FTBFS/FTI bugs (https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Fails_to_build_from_source_Fails_to_install/), your package may be orphaned in 8+ weeks.

P.S. The data was generated solely from koji buildroot, so it might be newer than the latest compose or the content on mirrors. To reproduce, use the koji/local repo only, e.g. in mock:

    $ mock -r fedora-38-x86_64 --config-opts mirrored=False install evolution-mapi

P.P.S. If this bug has been reported in the middle of upgrading multiple dependent packages, please consider using side tags: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Updates_Policy/#updating-inter-dependent-packages

Thanks!

This is really boring... see bug #2117210 and bug #2117065 (yes, I did notice F37/F38 difference in the bug summary, but still...)

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 2117065 ***

I do not follow. Did this happen just in time of branching? Both the rawhide and the f37 branches contain the rebuild commit. The f37 build fails as the build already exists, the rawhide build seems to be missing. It feels like a bad timing.

I fired the rawhide build:

Comment 3 Miro Hrončok 2022-08-11 10:04:21 UTC
1. There was one bugzilla for f37.
2. After branching, that bugzilla was marked as also affecting f38.
3. You choose to close is before the rebuild happened.
4. Automation opened 2 new bugzillas, as f37 and f38 were already separate at that time.

Yes, it's a bit stupid, but if you haven't closed the bugzilla before it was fixed, no more noise would happen.
