Description of problem: Current build (0.9.28 sdl2) does not use SDL2_Pango which causes a problem that the application does not render UI texts properly in many languages environments. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): tuxpaint-0.9.28-2.fc37 How reproducible: Always Additional info: SDL2_Pango is maintained by Mark K. Kim on the following github repo. https://github.com/markuskimius/SDL2_Pango For compiling tuxpaint-0.9.28-sdl2 with above SDL2_Pango, it might be neccessary to add 'CFLAGS=-I/usr/include/freetype2' as a parameter for 'make'.
Thanks, submitted for review.
Applying following patch would be better than workaround I mentioned above. https://sourceforge.net/p/tuxpaint/tuxpaint/ci/633a3628d6fad0406c028a5c79baa6e1d77ca228/ See also: https://sourceforge.net/p/tuxpaint/mailman/message/37696031/
I tested the src.rpm on fedora36. It works fine with tuxpaint-0.9.28-sdl2. Only one comment is that autoconf, automake and libtool are not necessarily required to build it.
Thank you!
