Description of problem: There is no build of python-pcodedmp for RHEL 9. Please branch and build python-pcodedmp for EPEL 9. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 1.2.6-13 Additional info: The current rawhide branch of this package builds successfully against `epel9`. Build: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/areiter/centos-stream-9-extra/build/4751674/
Honestly, I am not really keen on this, because python-pcodedmp depends on python-oletools, which depends on python-msoffcrypto, which is part of msoffcrypto-tool. And msoffcrypto-tool switched from setup.py to poetry.toml, which didn't feel RHEL-8-friendly during packaging the last time I had a look to it. So, yes, the current package chain rebuilds, but it isn't future-oriented from my point of view. Are you maybe interested in becoming a co-maintainer and working on it in the future?
Hello Robert, I volunteer to maintain python-pcodedmp for epel9 (along with the oletools where I am already maintainer). Please can you add me as comaintainer (especially to rawhide + epel9 branches) ? Thank you. Michal Ambroz
I've added you as co-maintainer - thank you!
