Description of problem: cowsay-beefymiracle installs its cow file into /usr/share/cowsay/ but starting from cowsay-3.7.0, cowsay looks for cow files in /usr/share/cowsay/cows/. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): cowsay-beefymiracle-1.0-18 and earlier How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. Find a system with F36 or later (cowsay-3.7.0 or later) 2. install cowsay and cowsay-beefymiracle 3. echo moo | cowsay -f beefymiracle Actual results: cowsay: Could not find cowfile for 'beefymiracle'! Expected results: _____ < moo > ----- \ .---. __ , / \ \ |||| \\\\ |O___O | | \\|||| \ // | \_/ | | \ / '--/----/| / | |-' // // / -----' // \\ / / // // / / // \\ / / // // / / /| ' / / //\___/ / // ||\ / \\_ || '---' /' / \\_.- / / --| | '-' | | '-' Additional info: I have prepared a Pull Request fixing this: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/cowsay-beefymiracle/pull-request/1 As I am one of the maintainers of the cowsay package, I could easily fix this myself if I (FAS ndim) had commit access to cowsay-beefymiracle.
ack; I merged it and I will give you commit access to cowsay-beefymiracle :) would you be willing to take full ownership of the package? it's Important enough to not orphan IMO but I only have one or two fedora VMs these days...
Thank you! I can take the full package ownership, and if you were in fact orphaning it I would try to pick it up :-) And with a non-empty intersection between the maintainer sets of cowsay and cowsay-beefymiracle, coordinating things will be much easier.
cheers, i've orphaned it. thanks :)
I have just taken over the package. Thank you very much!
