Created attachment 1907814 [details] Output of mmcli -m 1 Description of problem: Since upgrading to Fedora 36 (from 34), NetworkManager isn’t able to establish a mobile broadband connection (LTE, 4G)) via my WWAN card (Sierra MC7710). It used to work fine on Fedora 34 with the same hardware, same carrier, same SIM card. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 1.38.4-1 How reproducible: Always, when using the setup described above. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Make sure that a working SIM-card is inserted into your WWAN card. 2. Set up a gsm connection using `nm-connection-editor`. 3. Make sure that the WWAN card is enabled (e.g. using rfkill), and powered up. 4. Use `nmcli con up` or the NetworManager GUI to activate the gsm connection. Actual results: No connection to the internet over LTE (4G). Expected results: I expect NetworkManager to successfully establish a connection to the internet over LTE (4G). Additional info: I attach some output from ModemManager (mmcli) and the journalctl log output when trying to establish a connection using NetworkManager (after setting the log-level to DEBUG using the command `sudo nmcli general logging level DEBUG domain ALL`). I also tried to put the SIM-card in a mobile phone to confirm that the phone would be able to establish an internet connection - that worked fine. Also, the SIM-card is not protected (no PIN is set).

For the record: Yesterday, I upgraded to Fedora 38 (skipped 37), and with NetworkManager 1.42.6-1.fc38, the problem isn't there any more. Establishing an internet connection with the same WWAN device, SIM card and carrier, no works as expected.
