I'm reopening this bug, since it is still causing problems.
The user spoke is not (easily) accessible in resolution 800x600 and English localization.

Reproducer:
* Boot the installer with inst.resolution=800x600 on the kernel command line, select English and proceed to the main hub.

The 800x600 resolution is also applied by default in some cases (for example when running in VirtualBox), see for example here:
