Could you try with 43~rc?

Comment 4 lnie 2022-09-13 02:21:18 UTC
Checked with 43~rc-2,still see this bug.

Comment 5 Fedora Blocker Bugs Application 2022-09-13 02:45:59 UTC
Proposed as a Blocker for 37-final by Fedora user lnie using the blocker tracking app because:

 Seems affected:
Additionally, for Fedora Workstation on the x86_64 architecture, all applications installed by default which can be launched from the Activities menu must meet this requirement.

Comment 6 Matthias Clasen 2022-09-13 14:48:05 UTC
Could you double-check that this still occurs with the beta? I wonder if you actually had the workaround in place (it was a gstreamer change).

Do other people still have problems with screencasts not working?

Comment 7 lnie 2022-09-14 02:57:49 UTC
Just to be clear,I found this bug on a fresh installed system with Fedora-Workstation-Live-x86_64-37_Beta-1.5.iso ,I updated gnome-shell to 43-rc,still saw the bug,I had the system fully updated after saw your comment, the bug is gone,gstreamer1 and gnome-shell are not updated, while pipewire-gstreamer is updated from 0.3.56-2 to 0.3.57-1,so I guess it's fixed in pipewire-gstreamer.

Comment 8 lnie 2022-09-14 03:06:27 UTC
After I downgrade pipewire-gstreamer to 0.3.56-2,the bug comes back,so yes.

Comment 9 Matthias Clasen 2022-09-19 16:02:40 UTC
Thanks for testing

Comment 10 Adam Williamson 2022-09-19 16:17:33 UTC
pipewire-gstreamer-0.3.57-1 is in stable - https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2022-def12b4f54 - so we can close this, I believe.
