Out of personal interest, are there any issues blocking an update to 3.5.1? It would be great to have the latest stable version in Fedora. If there's anything I can do to help out, I'd be happy to.
I was waiting for the 3.5.2-stable release to avoid having to go through the stable update process twice, but as the upstream release manager, I'm too busy with the upcoming 4.0-stable release to publish 3.5.2 (otherwise it's pretty much ready, with 3.5.2-rc2 as the latest build). I'm currently preparing to push both Godot 3.x and 4.x to Fedora as `godot3` (copied from the current package, and upgraded to 3.5.2) and `godot` (for 4.0-stable which is due next week), but I probably won't be able to work on that before 4.0-stable is actually released upstream. (I've done the spec groundwork for Mageia, which is compatible with the Fedora spec, but I need to figure out the right steps on Fedora to do these packaging changes).
I would recommend adding a new godot4 source package and then installing the executables as godot3 and godot4, deprecating the use of an unversioned 'godot' executable. That way there are no surprises and no guesswork involved, and if/when godot 5 comes along later there's no need to shuffle the unversioned godot around again. It might be worth adding a "Provides: godot" to one of the packages' spec files for preferential installation, but I'm not familiar with the fine details of using "Provides:" so I would have to check if that's the right way to do it.
