Description Przemek Klosowski 2022-09-30 02:47:29 UTC
Description of problem: So emacs-common-ddskk seems to work fine, but somehow I installed the compiled package emacs-ddskk, and it prevents emacs from running.
emacs-ddskk is in fedora repository, but doesn't show up in bugzilla's component selection; since it appears to be just compiled version of emacs-common-ddskk, I am opening this report here.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
 emacs-ddskk-16.2-12.fc36.noarch
emacs-common-ddskk-16.2-12.fc36.noarch

How reproducible: every time

Steps to Reproduce:
1. sudo yum install emacs-ddskk
2. emacs

Actual results:
$ emacs
Cannot open load file: No such file or directory, comp
$

Expected results: emacs runs

Comment 1 Przemek Klosowski 2022-09-30 02:48:58 UTC
erasing emacs-ddskk (leaving emacs-common-ddskk installed) still runs, I assume ddskk will still work, but maybe slower (?)

Comment 2 Jens Petersen 2023-01-07 03:25:06 UTC
emacs-common-ddskk.noarch is just data files.

(Ideally the package should be renamed to emacs-ddskk since xemacs is gone from Fedora for some time now.)
