Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Mirek - since you own the RHEL-9 package I assume you know best if a man page exists. If need be this could be reassigned to Jon Maloy for RHEL8 packaging or CLOSED as WONTFIX for RHEL8

Comment 3 Miroslav Rezanina 2022-10-06 09:43:28 UTC
There's no such man page available. If we want it it has to be created.

Comment 4 John Ferlan 2022-10-10 21:59:26 UTC
It's unclear why the problem statement is private and what the problem statement has to do with the attached customer case.

I believe this should be closed wontfix, but will let Yash Mankad Virt Product Owner make that final determination. At best it could be turned into an RFE for a future RHEL9 change.

Comment 5 Yanhui Ma 2022-10-20 09:46:56 UTC
Hello, could we remove the Customer Portal(https://access.redhat.com/support/cases/#/case/03267465)from the bug? Since the bug seems has nothing to do with the real customer case and the customer case has been tracked by another bug.

Comment 6 John Ferlan 2022-10-27 21:22:51 UTC
I removed the case, let's hope there's not a bot to put it back on.

After discussions w/ Yash, I'm closing this as WONTFIX as there are no plans/resources in order to update the packages. If someone wants to contribute upstream a man page for ksmtuned to https://github.com/ksmtuned/ksmtuned, then you'll be the first contributor in 5 years and we can then consider to pull in those changes downstream.
