Description Kamil Páral 2022-10-03 21:14:22 UTC
This bug is created just for blocker-related purposes. Please see the upstream issue here:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/5930

Proposing as a blocker for F37. On-screen-keyboard is a basic feature of accessibility, and not being able to type a space is quite a problem. It might prevent users from installing Fedora, and we can't fix the install media with a future update.

Tested on a VM and bug seems to be fixed

Comment 7 Fedora Update System 2022-10-13 10:14:16 UTC
FEDORA-2022-b492fc2b7d has been pushed to the Fedora 37 stable repository.
If problem still persists, please make note of it in this bug report.

Comment 8 doomsdayrs 2022-10-14 13:08:26 UTC
Please open this up, as mike FABIAN and I have recorded, the OSK still has issues inputting a space into text.

Comment 9 Kamil Páral 2022-10-14 13:13:27 UTC
doomsdayrs: This bug was created just for the blocker process and I think the base functionality has been fixed. The remaining issue (using input methods with OSK, IIUIC) is being handled in the upstream ticket. If you think that should still be a blocker for F37, please create a separate bug report here in RH Bugzilla and propose it as a blocker using https://qa.fedoraproject.org/blockerbugs/ , thanks.
