Description of problem (please be detailed as possible and provide log snippests): The e2e tests in the release-4.11 branch do not have the code to add disks to the AWS nodes on the openshift CI clusters. https://github.com/red-hat-storage/lvm-operator/pull/263 instroduced a bug in the e2e tests by including a validation check to compare the number of running topolvm-node pode against the desired pods. As no disks were added to the nodes, the topolvm-node pods never become ready, causing the test to fail. The changes are restricted to the e2e tests and require no QE verification.
