Comment 1 Fedora Blocker Bugs Application 2022-10-13 02:18:52 UTC
Proposed as a Freeze Exception for 37-final by Fedora user luya using the blocker tracking app because:

OpenImageIO is on v2.4.4.1 which sadly missed the freeze deadline. Due to the API change, the policy requires the exception to build for Fedora 37. As upstream obsolete v2.3 due to their focus to v2.4, such changes breaks one on four principle for the Fedora Project. Blender, openshadinglanguage and USD are their dependant and build will use side tag.

+3 in https://pagure.io/fedora-qa/blocker-review/issue/969 , marking accepted. if you can get this built and the update submitted promptly it'll help getting feedback and then I'll feel safer pulling it in. thanks!

Build complete with side tag f37-build-side-59395.

OpenImageIO: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=2075792
usd: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=2076002
openshadinglanguage: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=2076510
Blender: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=93063206

I ask Richard Shaw to push an update but you can do it first if you like.

Thanks!

Comment 4 Adam Williamson 2022-10-15 21:55:24 UTC
If all the updates are in the same side tag, all you should need to do is use Bodhi web UI to create an update and give it the side tag name. it should then include all the builds from that side tag in the update. thanks!
