If I move my mouse to the top right of the screen, to change the volume, I get a window chooser for my current workspace. This is nice, but it means I have to be precise about where I put my mouse. It would be good if instead of using the top-right corner, there was an item that could be added to the panel that triggered the window chooser. Perhaps this item could be in the top-right corner by default too.
The top right of the screen is where the "close window" icon lives. Overloading it to show all windows is confusing. Making it a panel icon would make it customisable.
Since this bugzilla report was filed, there have been several updates, which may have resolved this issue. Users who have experienced this problem are encouraged to upgrade their system to the latest version of their distribution available. Fedora Core 6 is no longer supported, could you please reproduce this with the updated version of the currently supported distribution (Fedora 7, 8, or Rawhide)?
