Description Jens Petersen 2022-11-02 04:44:13 UTC
Description of problem:
Seems newer Google Noto CJK fonts are available
which presumably cover latest BMP unified CJK codepoints.
They also include variable fonts which should be a big space saver!

See:
- https://github.com/googlefonts/noto-cjk/releases/tag/Serif2.001

Hopefully we could backport (at least the static fonts) to F37 and probably 36 too.

For example currently some Unicode 13 URO CJK block glyphs are missing in Fedora.

Comment 1 Ben Cotton 2023-02-07 14:58:05 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora Linux 38 development cycle.
Changing version to 38.

Comment 2 Peng Wu 2023-02-09 06:32:04 UTC
The new font packages are built for Fedora 38.
