Comment 12 Lumír Balhar 2023-03-13 11:11:42 UTC
pipenv now FTBFS in rawhide:

Missing expected provides:
    - Provides: bundled(python3dist(plette)) = 0.4.2
Redundant unexpected provides:
    + Provides: bundled(python3dist(plette[validation])) = 0.4.2
error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.DbDCSr (%check)

https://koschei.fedoraproject.org/package/pipenv?collection=f39

Comment 13 Miro Hrončok 2023-03-13 13:05:00 UTC
That's my fault, a regression in https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-rpm-generators/pull-request/59 -- should be straightforward to fix, and add a regression test to https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-rpm-generators/blob/rawhide/f/tests/data/scripts_pythonbundles/pipenv.in -- I can have a look when I feel a bit better.

Comment 14 Miro Hrončok 2023-03-13 14:56:05 UTC
Oh, no, my change works as originally intended but it broke pipenv which added the bundled provides with extra in the meantime.

We can either amend pipenv specfile (and backport the generators change to whatever Fedora version we might backport pipenv to) or we can revert this change for now. I would prefer the backport, because `bundled(python3dist(plette[validation]))` has no additional information about the bundled code over `bundled(python3dist(plette))`.

Here's an amended test for the script: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-rpm-generators/pull-request/60

Here's what needs to be changed in pipenv: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/pipenv/pull-request/60

Comment 16 Tomas Orsava 2023-03-17 13:38:09 UTC
New versions of pipenv require setuptools>=67.0.0, so I'm waiting until the update happens in Fedora.
