Description RY 2022-11-06 13:50:46 UTC
Description of problem:

I disabled IPv6 with MCP, and on deploying CNV on OCP 4.12 I get this message,

2022/10/28 01:56:35 [emerg] 1#0: socket() [::]:8080 failed (97: Address family not supported by protocol)
nginx: [emerg] socket() [::]:8080 failed (97: Address family not supported by protocol)

Once I remove the MCP, the operator finishes the installation

Comment 3 Krzysztof Majcher 2022-11-08 13:55:24 UTC
Depending on the complexity of the fix, we will need to decide on backporting it.
If it will be very complex, most likely it won't be backported, as no customer was complaining about it so far.

Comment 6 SATHEESARAN 2023-02-10 19:36:29 UTC
Tested with interim CNV v4.12.1 build ( 4.12.1-39 ).

With the IPv4 single-stack OCP cluster, CNV operator could be installed/deployed successfully
