Description Leonid Natapov 2022-11-16 08:34:49 UTC
Overcloud deployment fails when trying to deploy ansible collectd and puppet metrics_qdr together.

When deploying ansible collectd and puppet metrics_qdr ,overcloud deployment fails
when trying to start metrics_qdr. The error I get is:

Nov 14 14:06:36 ceph-0 python3[25234]: ansible-tripleo_container_manage [WARNING] ERROR: Can't run container metrics_qdr#012stderr: Error: statfs /var/log/containers/metrics_qdr: no such file or directory

If I deploy overcloud with only metrics_qdr without collectd-container-ansible.yaml it's all fine.

It seems like metrics_qdr somehow affectd by ansible collectd when they being deployed together.

Closing this issue as WONTFIX. Mixing ansible-role-collectd-config and puppet-metrics_qdr is not recommended and will not be a supported configuration going forward.
