This bug was initially created as a copy of Bug #2143889

Description of problem:
Virt-v2v can't convert guest from VMware via vddk8.0.0

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

nbdkit-1.24.0-4.el8

This version of nbdkit also does not support VDDK 8.0.0.  The
fix for this is very simple and low risk, so probably worth
pulling in for RHEL 8.8 to avoid future compatibility problems.

That was probably either bug 2104720 or bug 2083617 I think?

RHEL 8 has a really old version of nbdkit (1.24.0!) and we didn't
touch it (before this bug) since Aug 2021.  It's lacking at least
these commits:

afa8cc84392af26641b340c58b836ca879698a53 (Jul 7 2022, fixes bug 2104720)
270ee75ede3881f32a7c21264676851dcf0969be (May 10 2022, fixes bug 2083617)

Maybe more ...

I think that there are two ways we could go here - either rebase nbdkit
to some much more recent version in RHEL 8, or just ignore these
warnings.  The first one is going to be very invasive and might
potentially break other things (even though we try hard to maintain
stability upstream).  My preference is to do nothing.
