Description Lumír Balhar 2022-12-01 12:33:01 UTC
Spec URL: https://lbalhar.fedorapeople.org/python-jupyter-server-terminals.spec
SRPM URL: https://lbalhar.fedorapeople.org/python-jupyter-server-terminals-0.4.1-1.fc36.src.rpm
Description: Jupyter Server Terminals is a Jupyter Server Extension
providing support for terminals.
Fedora Account System Username: lbalhar

One of the new dependencies for jupyterlab/notebook. Testing in: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/lbalhar/notebook/builds/

Comment 1 Karolina Surma 2022-12-02 12:02:50 UTC
rpmlint doesn't like Summary ending with a dot.

According to the Python Packaging Guidelines the tests should run, and if not possible, at least import check must run.
This is currently impossible as jupyter-server isn't available in Fedora and it depends on this package.
We've talked about it and concluded the tests will be enabled as soon as the rest of the dependencies are packaged.

A problematic item from the fedora-review:

[!]: Package must own all directories that it creates.
Note: Directories without known owners: /etc/jupyter,
     /etc/jupyter/jupyter_server_config.d

Comment 2 Lumír Balhar 2022-12-04 09:19:58 UTC
Spec URL: https://lbalhar.fedorapeople.org/python-jupyter-server-terminals.spec
SRPM URL: https://lbalhar.fedorapeople.org/python-jupyter-server-terminals-0.4.2-1.fc37.src.rpm

There is a new version available. The summary no longer contains dot and the package now depends on python-jupyter-filesystem which is the owner of /etc/jupyter and /etc/jupyter/jupyter_server_config.d.

Thanks for the comments!

Comment 3 Karolina Surma 2022-12-05 08:07:04 UTC
Tests no longer depend on pytest-tornasync, so the comment in %check is moot.

Except for the check issue we know is a matter of circular dependency and will be fixed in the future, the package looks good to me.

Package APPROVED.
