Please branch and build cpuid in epel9. If you do not wish to maintain cpuid in epel9, or do not think you will be able to do this in a timely manner, the EPEL Packagers SIG would be happy to be a co-maintainer of the package; please add the epel-packagers-sig group through https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/cpuid/addgroup and grant it commit access, or collaborator access on epel* branches.
cpuid was added to rhel7 on the 7.3 update. Should be available for el9.
That's correct, it was shipped in RHEL 7, but hasn't been shipped in subsequent releases (neither RHEL 8 nor RHEL 9). It is currently branched and built for EPEL 8, but it's missing from EPEL 9.
Will you be able to branch and build cpuid in epel9? The EPEL Packagers SIG would be happy to be a co-maintainer if you do not wish to build it on epel9.
