Description of problem: The gscan2pdf package is in the Fedora repositories. The gscan2pdf package is not in epel9 repositories. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): gscan2pdf-2.13.0-1 How reproducible: Highly reproducible Steps to Reproduce: 1.dnf search gscan2pdf 2.https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/gscan2pdf 3. Actual results: No matches found. Expected results: I expected to find the gscan2pdf package in the epel9 repositories. The gscan2pdf package is in the Fedora repositories and commonly found in Debian based distros. Additional info:
I had to use the fedora-packager component description to file this package request for epel9 because gscan2pdf was not listed as a component.
This is the dependency chain for the missing packages, if it helps: perl-Carp-Always perl-Image-Sane unpaper goocanvas2 urw-base35-fonts perl-Set-IntSpan perl-Image-PNG-Libpng sane-frontends perl-Cairo perl-Test-Inter perl-Graphics-TIFF : perl-Cairo-GObject perl-Locale-Codes perl-PDF-Builder : perl-Glib-Object-Introspection : perl-Gtk3 perl-GooCanvas2 : perl-Gtk3-ImageView perl-Gtk3-SimpleList : gscan
Will you be able to branch and build gscan2pdf in epel9?
I won't be able to do it any soon. That's a lot of new, desktop-oriented packages for EPEL 9.
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora Linux 38 development cycle. Changing version to 38.
