Have been happily running rawhide ati driver until updating to this version.
Using the vesa driver works.
system-config-display works and correctly identifies the radeon card.

xorg log file when using radeon driver
If you add alias radeon off to your modprobe.conf file, does X work again for you?
Wonder how similar your prob is to this bug:
Craig, can we get also you /etc/X11/xorg.conf attached to this bug, please?
Also, if you can try to run Xorg without any /etc/X11/xorg.conf whatsoever (it
should automagically detect whatever is needed) and attach /var/log/Xorg.0.log
Thanks a lot.
Sorry for the delay...new, better job eating all my time :)
I no longer have rawhide on that box, it's fc6. I waited until _after_ fc6 was
released to update knowing I had filed this. However, I thought for sure this
issue had just slipped through and I wanted/needed my machine.
Would a xen rawhide guest be adequate to test from (same box/hardware)? if not,
I suppose just closing this is best...sorry for the noise.
Please re-open if it anything further happens, I'm closing it as the reporter
