Created attachment 1934462 [details] Output of the dnf history info of transaction 192. Description of problem: After dnf update on 12/24/2024, my workstation with 2 3840x2160 monitors stopped working driving the second monitor. The Display Config utility sees the second monitor, but its not Enabled. When I try to re-enable it, no video shows on the monitor and eventually the utility will report "An output has been removed. Settings have been reloaded". If I turn off & unhook the working monitor, the second monitor works fine. If I launch GNOME instead of KDE (X11), the both monitors work fine. Using Wayland has no effect on the problem. On bootup, both monitors show the boot sequence, the GDM login screen enables both monitors working, but when KDE starts it quickly turns the second monitor off before the desktop comes up. So clearly there is not a cabling or card problem. I've run this monitor configuration for multiple years across several upgrades and many updates without any problems. Suddenly on 12/24 it broke. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): I honestly don't know what package is at fault. My 12/24 upgrade included 445 packages according to the dnf history. I don't see any kde components in the list, but xorg-x11 and akmod-nvidia updates were in the list. I'll attach a list of the dnf transaction to this report. How reproducible: 100% after the upgrade, I've not been able to correct the problem. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Upgrade. 2. Reboot. 3. Login with KDE Actual results: Only single monitor is activated. Expected results: Desktop spanning across 2 monitors. Additional info: Graphics card is NVidia 1080, both monitors hooked up with DisplayPort cables.
