Comment 3 Aoife Moloney 2023-11-23 00:54:53 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora Linux 37 is nearing its end of life.
Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora Linux 37 on 2023-12-05.
It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer
maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a
'version' of '37'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, change the 'version'
to a later Fedora Linux version. Note that the version field may be hidden.
Click the "Show advanced fields" button if you do not see it.

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not
able to fix it before Fedora Linux 37 is end of life. If you would still like
to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version
of Fedora Linux, you are encouraged to change the 'version' to a later version
prior to this bug being closed.

Hi Benson,

I updated the spec file and uploaded a new srpm file. I also changed version to 39. Could you look at it again?

Thanks,
Kanitha

Comment 8 Benson Muite 2023-11-27 16:44:05 UTC
Please add a link to the updated spec and srpm here to enable running of fedora-review, see some of the other open reviews. It needs to build on rawhide to be initially packaged, so need the dependency to build on rawhide first.

Comment 9 kchim 2023-11-27 19:40:01 UTC
New spec and srpm are in the attachment fields with suffix -latest. Updated version to rawhide

Copr build:
https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/build/6725636
(failed)

Build log:
https://download.copr.fedorainfracloud.org/results/@fedora-review/fedora-review-2158785-telethon/fedora-rawhide-x86_64/06725636-python-telethon/builder-live.log.gz

Please make sure the package builds successfully at least for Fedora Rawhide.

- If the build failed for unrelated reasons (e.g. temporary network
  unavailability), please ignore it.
- If the build failed because of missing BuildRequires, please make sure they
are listed in the "Depends On" field

If you want to trigger a new Copr build, add a comment containing new
Spec and SRPM URLs or [fedora-review-service-build] string.

Comment 14 Benson Muite 2023-12-10 18:27:10 UTC
Can you paste links to the srpm and spec file directly here as is done in other reviews? You could for example do a build on copr
or put them in your fedorapeople.org space.

Comment 15 kchim 2023-12-13 15:28:39 UTC
Hey sorry, I tried to create builds here:https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/kanitha/python-telethon/build/6749682/
but they all failed. Looking into the issue although it built successfully locally
