+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #209848 +++ RHEL 4.5 clone The dm ioctl interface is supposed to return the table to userspace in a specific format (identical to one particular format that can be used to load tables). Some userspace code relies on this (e.g. comparing/parsing tables). The dm mirror target breaks this by adding an incorrect trailing space.
This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux maintenance release. Product Management has requested further review of this request by Red Hat Engineering, for potential inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Update release for currently deployed products. This request is not yet committed for inclusion in an Update release.
