Description Jonathan Kamens 2023-01-13 17:08:16 UTC
There's a new allowipv6 setting in fail2ban which is supposed to be specified in /etc/fail2ban.conf but isn't currently. For the time being it's defaulting to auto if it's not set and just complaining about it in a log message, but my understanding is that eventually the debug complaining is going to turn into a failure if it's not set, and in any case it should be set there to make the complaining log message go away.

Comment 1 Orion Poplawski 2023-03-30 00:04:59 UTC
Upstream has reduced this log message to a debug message, so this will go away in the next release.
