Comment 1 Carl George 🤠 2023-01-24 04:51:06 UTC
caddy-1.0.3-1.el7 was built with 1.13.1 [0]. The upstream notice [1] says this affects go before version 1.18.9. I'm not sure if the vulnerability exists that far back, but we should assume so based on the upstream wording. To fix this we'll need to rebuild the package, but currently we only have golang 1.18.4 available.

Comment 5 Carl George 🤠 2023-08-18 04:14:38 UTC
For posterity, this update ended up being broken and nobody (myself included) caught it while it was in the testing repo. It's no longer possible to build caddy v1 with the golang that is in EPEL 7. The choice was between an incompatible update to caddy v2 (major breaking changes with a new config file format) or retiring the package. With only 10 months left until EPEL 7 is retired, I decided to go with the latter. See this email for more details.
