Description of problem: It is not possible to install fts-rest-client on EL8 Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): fts-rest-client-3.12.0-1 How reproducible: every time Steps to Reproduce: 1. podman run -it almalinux:8 /bin/bash -c 'dnf install -y epel-release ; dnf install -y fts-rest-client' Actual results: - nothing provides python3.6dist(setuptools) >= 42 needed by fts-rest-client-3.12.0-1.el8.noarch (try to add '--skip-broken' to skip uninstallable packages or '--nobest' to use not only best candidate packages) Expected results: package should install Additional info: I doubt very much this is a runtime dependency at all but I have not checked.
Thanks for reporting. I've patched it here [1] and released v3.12.1 + patch in EPEL today. Cheers, Mihai [1] https://gitlab.cern.ch/fts/fts-rest-flask/-/commit/f52a5f7a
