Description Alex Stupnikov 2023-02-03 13:04:38 UTC
Description of problem:

Customer is using RHOSP 16.2 with Satellite 6.10 and deployment command doesn't work the way it should on compute nodes (works find on controllers): it fails with the following error on random compute node during every deployment

2023-02-02 05:38:36.498415 | UUID |      FATAL | SATELLITE | Check for Satellite 6.10 | HOSTNAME | error={"msg": "The conditional check '_sat6_check_v6 is failed' failed. The error was: The 'failed' test expects a dictionary\n\nThe error appears to be in '/usr/share/ansible/roles/redhat-subscription/tasks/satellite.yml': line 22, column 3, but may\nbe elsewhere in the file depending on the exact syntax problem.\n\nThe offending line appears to be:\n\n\n- name: SATELLITE | Check for Satellite 6.10\n  ^ here\n"}

I will share more information about collected data and extracts from logs privately.

Comment 3 James Slagle 2023-02-03 19:30:41 UTC
let us know if updating to 16.2.4 resolves the issue

Comment 5 Takashi Kajinami 2023-03-23 14:19:39 UTC
We believe this is a duplicate of 2106615 which was fixed in 16.2.4.
Please reopen this in case the issue still appears after updating the deployment to 16.2.4.
