Could you please build this for F37 as well? The upgrade path is being blocked, as well as regular updates:

Problem: package yubikey-manager-qt-1.2.4-6.fc37.x86_64 requires python3-yubikey-manager < 5, but none of the providers can be installed
  - cannot install both python3-yubikey-manager-5.1.0-1.20230417git4abe6b5.fc37.noarch and python3-yubikey-manager-4.0.9-3.20220617git21d3513.fc37.noarch
  - cannot install the best update candidate for package yubikey-manager-qt-1.2.4-6.fc37.x86_64
  - cannot install the best update candidate for package python3-yubikey-manager-4.0.9-3.20220617git21d3513.fc37.noarch

Comment 4 Gerald Cox 2023-04-26 10:09:57 UTC
This is my bad. Yubikey manager should not have been pushed F37. Until I can get this reversed or resolved, please use
only yubikey-manager-4.0.9-1.20220617git21d3513.fc37 in F37. This problem does not exist in F38.

Comment 5 xspielinbox+redhat 2023-04-26 12:19:03 UTC
I have the same problem.

This bug seems related to bug 2189806.

Comment 6 Gerald Cox 2023-04-26 13:55:51 UTC
To circumvent the error until yubikey-manager-5 can be removed from the F37 repo, simply add
the following line to your /etc/yum.repos.d/fedora-updates.repo file:

excludepkgs=yubikey-manager

Comment 7 Alexander Ploumistos 2023-04-26 18:44:57 UTC
Hi Gerald,

The yubikey-manager update has been pushed to stable, it cannot be removed from the distribution. Anyone who does not have yubikey-manager-qt installed is now on 5.1.0-1.20230417git4abe6b5.fc37, whereas users with both yubikey-manager and yubikey-manager-qt are now faced with this issue and you cannot realistically expect all of the above to find this bug report or the comment in bodhi.
Is there some radical change in this version and you do not want the updated package in F37? If not, updating it would be preferable to downgrading with an Epoch and having to carry that around from now on (and rebuilding the package in F38 and F39).

Comment 8 xspielinbox+redhat 2023-04-26 19:14:43 UTC
I would prefer the update to yubikey-manager-qt 1.2.5 in Fedora 37 too, if it is possible. As far as I understand it, adding the yubikey-manager < 5 requirement only was a workaround anyway?

Hi Alexander,

The issue is with yubioath-desktop. It is not compatible with yubikey-manager-5+.
It was an error on my part to push the yubikey-manager update to F37. But since
the deed has been done, probably makes sense to get yubikey-manager-qt upgraded.
I'll send an email to Jakub. I'll keep the dependency in place for yubioath-desktop.

Really sorry about the inconvenience folks.

Comment 10 Alexander Ploumistos 2023-04-26 20:13:40 UTC
Don't worry about it. If it were on F36 that's going EOL in 2 weeks, we could all look the other way and pretend this never happened. F37 has another release cycle of life, so this should be fixed.
