Description Jiaxun Yang 2023-02-10 03:07:26 UTC
ninja-build-1.10.2-3 was built for x86_64 and ppc64le but not aarch64.

ninja in EPEL 7 is stuck at ninja-build-1.7.2-2.el7.aarch64. It causes QEMU 7.2 failed to build on EPEL 7 aarch64.

As ninja is a arch-independent Python package there is no reason to exclude latest version for aarch64.

Comment 1 Ben Boeckel 2023-02-10 16:07:15 UTC
`ninja` is not arch-independent Python package; it is written in (Google-flavored) C++.

Comment 2 Fedora Admin user for bugzilla script actions 2023-11-19 00:26:29 UTC
This package has changed maintainer in Fedora. Reassigning to the new maintainer of this component.

Comment 3 Ben Boeckel 2023-11-21 04:20:56 UTC
I see no ExcludeArch in the package. Are CentOS build requests per-architecture? Can someone point me at the EPEL docs for how this works? Do I just bump the release and request a new build?

Comment 4 Troy Dawson 2024-07-09 04:17:53 UTC
EPEL 7 entered end-of-life (EOL) status on 2024-06-30.\n\nEPEL 7 is no longer maintained, which means that it\nwill not receive any further security or bug fix updates.\n As a result we are closing this bug.
