Description of problem: The current release of rxvt-unicode on epel7 is an empty rpm. (rxvt-unicode-9.30-2.el7.x86_64.rpm) Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 9.30-2.el7 How reproducible: Very Steps to Reproduce: `rpm -qp rxvt-unicode-9.30-2.el7.x86_64.rpm -info` shows that the package size is `0` Actual results: Size : 0 Expected results: The package contains some files, else it shouldn't exist in EPEL7 at all Additional info: The maintainer has mentioned in the patch notes that he is no longer planning on updating this package. If that's the case, new versions should not be published, rather than empty packages being published * Fri Dec 16 2022 Robbie Harwood <rharwood> - 9.30-1 - Drop package to be just terminfo file - Newer versions of libptytty don't build on epel7, and on epel I only care about the terminfo file anyway. If you wish for this to be packaged fully again, we either need 9.30 + libptytty patched to build, or a fix for CVE-2022-4170. https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=2101455

The change is clearly intended, as per the changelog you quoted. I'm really not sure what you hoped to accomplish by showing it to me.
Intended, sure. But why publish an empty package? It's existence implies that it's functional, and it's not obvious why things aren't working unless you dig into a changelogs. I'd argue that the package simply shouldn't exist if it's going to be empty.
It depends on the -terminfo subpackage.
If people want to just get the -terminfo, they should install just the -terminfo. At the moment the primary package's existence implies that I can run `urxvt` when it's installed, and that's not the case. Yes, the package does do _something_, but it's not what people will expect it to do. Of course that's just my opinion. I can respect your decision if you feel otherwise.
