bowtie2 failed to build from source in Fedora rawhide/f38 https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=96314471 For details on the mass rebuild see: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_38_Mass_Rebuild Please fix bowtie2 at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks, bowtie2 will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 39, bowtie2 will be retired, if it still fails to build. As I cannot see the bulid.log and root.log above as those are too old. However, I assume it is because of missing simde-devel on f38 seeing the Koschei f38. https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/simde https://koschei.fedoraproject.org/package/bowtie2?collection=f38 https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/work/tasks/1216/97651216/root.log > DEBUG util.py:443: No matching package to install: 'simde-devel' I am trying to rescue the simde package for f38 now on the ticket now. https://pagure.io/releng/issue/11281#comment-841521 The f38 will be rebased by the ticket below. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2166982
I am sure this issue was fixed by the simde RPM package side. https://koschei.fedoraproject.org/package/bowtie2?collection=f39 https://koschei.fedoraproject.org/package/bowtie2?collection=f38
