Description Fedora Release Engineering 2023-02-20 11:56:24 UTC
nbd failed to build from source in Fedora rawhide/f38

https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=96379788

For details on the mass rebuild see:

Please fix nbd at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to
ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks,
nbd will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 39,
nbd will be retired, if it still fails to build.

Comment 1 H.Janssen 2023-04-24 07:30:45 UTC
nbd not only fails to build, nbd-server fails to run properly too in Fedora 38 release and archlinux.
It appears to be a problem introduced by the new version of glib.
I could make a quick and dirty patch, causing both nbd-server to work and rpmbuild to build a rpm.
Upstream has be notified, so a fix by a more experienced programmer has to be expected soon.
