Description Fedora Release Engineering 2023-02-20 12:01:42 UTC
python-zmq failed to build from source in Fedora rawhide/f38

https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=96435493

For details on the mass rebuild see:

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_38_Mass_Rebuild
Please fix python-zmq at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to
ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks,
python-zmq will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 39,
python-zmq will be retired, if it still fails to build.

For more details on the FTBFS policy, please visit:

Comment 1 Orion Poplawski 2023-06-25 18:39:03 UTC
I have a PR that should fix the build for current releases - but it fails to build on ppc64le with Python 3.12 https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-zmq/pull-request/11

Comment 2 Fedora Release Engineering 2023-08-16 07:09:24 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora Linux 39 development cycle.
Changing version to 39.

Comment 3 Michel Lind 2023-09-14 20:37:39 UTC
Seems like spurious build failure
