rust-derivative failed to build from source in Fedora rawhide/f38 https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=96449529 For details on the mass rebuild see: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_38_Mass_Rebuild Please fix rust-derivative at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks, rust-derivative will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 39, rust-derivative will be retired, if it still fails to build. Failure already reported upstream (no response yet): https://github.com/mcarton/rust-derivative/issues/106 I have not disabled the test, since according to the upstream Rust compiler change that likely caused this failure, it can point at unsound code.
The upstream project looks pretty much dead, there's been no activity since 2021 and no response to my bug report. I've now gone ahead and pushed a change to skip the one failing test, which is enough to fix the FTBFS issue across all branches of Fedora. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2023-f777d9183e https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2023-f2e3788500 https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2023-a323e6ec88
