This is a tracking bug for Change: Modernize Thread Building Blocks for Fedora 39 For more details, see: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/F39ModernizeTBB Fedora is currently shipping version 2020.3 (released July 10, 2020) of the Thread Building Blocks library. The current upstream version is 2021.8 (released December 22, 2022). The Fedora community has expressed interest in moving the TBB package to track a more modern version of the upstream. If you encounter a bug related to this Change, please do not comment here. Instead create a new bug and set it to block this bug.
This does not yet seem to be done. I don't see any 2021.8 build in Koji or Bodhi. The last status update I can find was https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@lists.fedoraproject.org/message/P44YQVEVWDDMYAUMQSA6NQQEVQRDAZ4G/ , from July 11 - the python rebuild situation has probably improved since then, but I can't see any further work on the Change. As we're now past Beta freeze, this Change is behind schedule and at-risk for F39.
Per today's FESCo meeting - https://pagure.io/fesco/issue/3059#comment-875144 , logs at https://meetbot-raw.fedoraproject.org/fedora-meeting-2/2023-09-21/ - this Change is dropped. If a new maintainer wants to pick it up, it can be re-proposed.
