The link in the URL field doesn't work, but this appears to be the same crash as https://retrace.fedoraproject.org/faf/problems/bthash/?bth=78109a6b0dd0cd93629b71c0b547cecf0f1580c9&bth=a44f736308d8b89aec6969458c63a51ed39a93ed which is fast becoming a gnome-terminal topcrash. As far as I can tell, there exist no instances of this crash before the time of the cairo 1.17.8-1 update and only one on or about the day of the -2 update. Can you find out which cairo version you had when this crash happened? Possibly this is (or is related to) this upstream issue: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/cairo/cairo/-/issues/645 .
gnome-terminal-3.47.92-1.fc38.x86_64 cairo-1.17.8-3.fc38.x86_64 I experienced the same crash again today. This was only the second time this happened on my laptop and this time I just logged in, started gnome-terminal and it crashed before I could type anything. I started it again immediately after that and it works flawlessly.

Based on the 2nd backtrace, I think this is likely a cairo bug, most probably from this item in cairo 1.17.8 NEWS: ``` In this snapshot, cairo gained support for rendering COLRv1 fonts, and rendering SVG and COLRv1 fonts with custom palettes. ```
