Description of problem:
GTK4 update broken combo boxes, they can't be opened. For example:

1. In Settings -> Sound, the Output or Input Device combo box can't be opened (you can't select a different device)
2. In Calendar, you can't select Repeat for an event: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-calendar/-/issues/984

Discussed during the 2023-03-13 blocker review meeting: [0]

The decision to classify this bug as an "AcceptedBlocker (Final)" was made as this would affect basic functionality of many GTK4 apps, combo boxes are a standard UI element.
