The errant code for this bug first appears in gdb-13.1, which is current for all actively maintained versions of gdb (f37, f38, rawhide). It is invalid for any earlier release such as f36 (gdb-12.1). If you want a bug to track this for other releases, please file. Otherwise, I will work on a backport for f37, f38, and rawhide.
