Description Anton Mark 2023-04-06 15:19:58 UTC
Description of problem:
------------------------
ODF storage landing page System Capacity card shows Ceph cluster raw utilization metric for storage systems. However, the column is labeled as "Used Capacity" which is possibly confusing. Changing "Used Capacity" to "Used Raw Capacity", or alternatively the "System Capacity" card could be changed to "System Raw Capacity". Either would be more more explicit that the metric shown is raw utilization.

Version of all relevant components (if applicable):
ODF 4.12

minor issue, we will tale up in 4.14 release...

Comment 4 Sanjal Katiyar 2023-06-02 10:47:00 UTC
increasing the severity as it is imp from Cu point of view (we will be adding few more changes to the card), might have to backport to z stream as well.

Comment 12 Sanjal Katiyar 2023-09-06 06:29:47 UTC
Adding need_info on @olakra as we might need doc update for 4.14 for this bug. We have updated the functionality of couple of cards on ODF StorageSystem dashboard, so need corresponding change in the doc as well (also changed the name of one of the card).

Do we need to track it via setting RDT flags on this BZ or need a new bug on doc side ??

Comment 25 Filip Balák 2023-10-24 12:12:24 UTC
According to comment 23 and attachment 1990800 [details] there are problems:
 * There is no `External used capacity` card (there should be according to comment 5), the card is called `External object provider used capacity`,
 * there is a missing tooltip for a card `External object provider used capacity`,
 * there is no data shown in `External object provider used capacity` card.

--> ASSIGNED

Comment 27 Filip Balák 2023-10-26 12:09:26 UTC
> 1. There is no external used capacity card, its only called External object
> provider used capacity. This name was changed by UX later
ok
> 2. There was no tooltip required for it. The card initially never had the
> tooltip. Whether one is required or not can be discussed in a separately
> created BZ.
For a missing tooltip was created bz 2246364.
> 3. You may need to consume the obc only after which the bar will appear.
After using reproducer from comment 26 I was able to see data in "External object provider used capacity" card.

--> VERIFIED

Tested with:
ODF 4.14.0-156
OCP 4.14.0-0.nightly-2023-10-25-223202(In reply to Vineet from comment #26)
