Now that libheif >= 1.13 is available for Fedora, please enable it by rebuilding darktable for F37 (and EPEL 9?) and later.

Please note, however, that dt 4.2.1 requires libheif >= 1.13.0

No, haven't got a system at hand to test, sorry.

Also, you might want to consider cherry-picking the linked patch for this to make sense once the RPMFusion problems are sorted.
