Description Matthieu Saulnier 2023-04-14 18:06:45 UTC
Please branch and build libomemo in epel9 and epel8.

If you do not wish to maintain libomemo in epel9 and epel8,
or do not think you will be able to do this in a timely manner,
I would be happy to be a co-maintainer of the package (FAS fantom);
please add me through https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/libomemo/adduser

Comment 1 Matthieu Saulnier 2023-04-14 18:11:42 UTC
mxml-devel package is required but is not available yet.

Comment 2 Matthieu Saulnier 2023-04-14 18:31:55 UTC
In the epel8 branch, a minor change in the specfile will be required:

From:
BuildRequires: pkgconfig(libgcrypt)

To:
BuildRequires: libgcrypt-devel

Comment 3 Matthieu Saulnier 2023-04-14 18:35:36 UTC
FYI: libomemo will become a dependancy of Profanity XMPP client soon.

Comment 4 Vitaly 2023-04-18 17:27:16 UTC
> epel8

Impossible to build due to missing pkgconfig file (required in project's CMake):

-- Checking for module 'libgcrypt'
-- Package 'libgcrypt', required by 'virtual:world', not found
CMake Error at /usr/share/cmake/Modules/FindPkgConfig.cmake:556 (message):
A required package was not found

> epel9

Impossible to build due to missing mxml-devel in EPEL9.
