Possibly related to https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-mahjongg/-/issues/37 ?

Comment 7 Justin Koh 2023-06-03 05:54:32 UTC
The issue was fixed upstream [1] and a new release tagged (3.40.0) [2].

I opened a PR to update the package. [3]
