This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description of problem:
When /etc/rpm/macros contains "%_excludedocs 1", iptables-nft installation
leaves dangling symbolic links in /etc/alternatives and in /usr/share/man/man8

The postinstall scriptlet should test the %%{_excludedocs} value to decide whether to install the alternatives. See the postfix rpm spec file for an example.

Thanks for the instructions, Andrew! Took me a moment to find out the '-e' flag is needed in %post to make things work. :)

I implemented the fix in Rawhide's iptables-1.8.9-3. CentOS/RHEL9 will follow if QE has capacity.
