Description Silvan Nagl 2023-04-23 10:40:01 UTC
you will get a permission denied when trying to use openresolv / resolvconf.

lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 28 Apr 23 02:10 /usr/sbin/resolvconf -> /etc/alternatives/resolvconf
[root@host wireguard]# ll /etc/alternatives/resolvconf
lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 31 Apr 23 02:10 /etc/alternatives/resolvconf -> /usr/sbin/resolvconf.openresolv
[root@host wireguard]# ll /usr/sbin/resolvconf.openresolv
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 23971 Jan 19 01:00 /usr/sbin/resolvconf.openresolv

Fix was "chmod +x /usr/sbin/resolvconf.openresolv"

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
execute resolvconf
Actual Results:
"permission denied" by DAC.

Expected Results:
execution of resolvconf

Ah, this is embarassing stupid error. In attempt to fix warning for other included scripts, I have also broken resolvconf itself.

Comment 2 Petr Menšík 2023-04-24 15:21:46 UTC
Fixed in rawhide.
