Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 219351
postfix 2.3.3 rejects instead of defers mail when mailbox_command dies with a signal
Last modified: 2008-04-04 01:27:32 EDT
Description of problem:

Easy to reproduce by configuring mailbox_command to run a command that dies with
a signal (like signal 11 due to a bug in the program).
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Send the configured mailbox_command a signal.
2. Watch postfix bounce the email.
This bug is fixed upstream in postfix 2.3.5. From the 2.3.5 changelog:
Compatibility with Postfix < 2.3: undo the change to bounce
instead of defer after pipe-to-command delivery fails with
a signal. File: global/pipe_command.c.
Please have a look at postfix-2.4.5-2.fc6 in FC-6-testing.
Unfortunately, will be unable to test this as I don't have any FC6 machines any
