This statement is no longer accurate. The "latest major RHEL release" is RHEL9.
The text should indicate the latest supported RHEL8 minor release, unless RHEL9 really is required, in which case the entire deployment process needs to change drastically.

RHOSP 16.2 supports RHEL 8.4. Since the noted statement causes confusion, it has been removed and the document republished:
