Description spavas 2023-05-08 14:18:55 UTC
Description of problem:
Hello
A problem persists since the upgrade F37 --> F38
It is about the keyboard layout, here it is, I am French so keyboard in azerty, but at the session login the keyboard is in Qwerty on my two machines and also in VM, I am under Kde, so it seems that it is sddm which is in cause, note that the numeric keypad is not taken into account automatically in spite of the Numlock=on directive the problem is met by many French users see
https://forums.fedora-fr.org/
A workaround has been found, to install lightdm after disabling sddm.
But I would prefer a fix for sddm, does this seem possible?
Please excuse my English
Sincerely

A solution that seems to work in my case is
localectl set-x11-keymap fr
replace fr with your language code

Comment 2 spavas 2023-08-20 22:05:49 UTC
#localectl set-x11-keymap fr
